Studies:

Dr. Frieden is founder of the Hemangioma Investigator Group, a group of 7 centers which are studying infantile hemangiomas. The group recently enrolled a cohort of 1056 infants and are currently analyzing data for future publications and studies. Dr. Frieden is also the Principal Investigator for a proposed NIH Research Workshop on Infantile Hemangiomas which is planned for April, 2005.

A Retropective study of Clinical Characteristics and Management of Vascular Anomalies: Findings of a Multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic was recently performed by Erin F.D. Mathes, a UCSF medical student with Anita N. Haggstrom, MD, Christopher Dowd, MD, William Y. Hoffman, MD, and Ilona J. Frieden, MD
